GARRY BERRY
Chief Executive Officer
Gary founded Albury Building Services in 1981. He has a wealth of experience in the construction and development idustry and heads up the Group that has a proven track record. Using his experience, he has successfully guided Albury through the peaks and troughs of the market, growing the business from a small construction company to a firm with multiple divisions including architecture, build, design and development. He has a determined attitude, combined with a keen eye for design along with extensive knowledge within the construction and development sectors.
Albury completed its first sole development in 1986, and Gary secured his first option arrangement in 1990. He now looks for new and dynamic ways of securing potential projects for the business.
SAM BERRY
Chief Financial Officer
Sam is a partner of Albury and oversees the investment and finances of the business. He held a top level position in a leading auditing firm, working alongside a number of property companies in the UK, many of which were listed on the London Stock Exchange. His knowledge spans construction firms, development companies and REITs. He has also been involved in the raising of millions of pounds in private equity for many of his clients.
Since joining his father at Albury, he has helped to expand Albury and is tasked with project appraisals and managing funding for all site purchases. His financial modelling skills and knowledge in structuring are vital to each and every project.
KEVIN ELLERBECK
Non-Executive Director
Kevin is a fully qualified quantity surveyor who during his training achieved the highest examination mark in the UK and was subsequently awarded a silver medal from the Chartered Institute of Building. He is now the director of several property companies and is a Specialist Planning Advisor in the construction industry. Kevin specialises in finding planning solutions for challenging sites, thereby enhancing their value.
Kevin has previously been involved with securing sites for his own personal developments, while also completing projects under joint venture arrangements.
PERRY GAMBY
Non-Executive Director
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Perry is extremely experienced and knowledgeable with all aspects of construction and development. He is adept at identifying sites that have tremendous potential and following through by negotiating deals and working alongside a team of seasoned professionals to achieve planning permission. His knowledge of the property industry makes him a sought after and trusted advisor.
Perry has successfully raised millions of pounds for developments and has completed projects up to a construction value of £75m, while also boosting developments overseas, most notably two high profile hotel projects in France.
DAVID BERRY
Project and M&E Management
David Berry ran his own successful electrical engineering company before joining one of Britain’s leading building services groups. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the overseeing projects at some of London’s most high profile residential and commercial developments including One Hyde Park and the Bulgari Hotel.
David’s key strengths ensure the buildings’ infrastructure exceeds expectations, while his leadership skills ensure projects complete on time and on budget.
TOM SOPER ACII
Architect
Tom specialises in the sensitive reimagining of existing buildings and the design of new residential and commercial properties. Tom has developed an enviable reputation for creative designs that maximise the development’s potential. Tom has a proven ability to secure planning and listed building consents under the most testing of conditions. He has worked for clients including The Grosvenor Estate, Burberry and Wentworth Golf Club.
He has also undertaken residential projects in London’s best addresses including properties in Wilton Crescent, The Boltons and Eaton Square. His approach to the architectural process is creative, energetic and entrepreneurial.
